Kelingkit Taiwan

Description:
First discovered by Marcello Malpighi, an Italian national science (1628 to 1693). Plants from the West Indies is thriving in all kinds of soil, especially in soil Hat. Taiwan Kelingkit often found as a hedge or ornamental plants to a height of 800 m above sea level. Shrubs with a height of 0.5 to 2, 5 m has a branch that stuck out straight, filled with leaves that look lush. Single leaf, located opposite, oval shape with rounded base, the edges are the parts that resemble toothed spines, length 1 to 2 cm, thick like leather, shiny surface, dark green color. Interest in the armpit, it's white or pale ros. Hard fruits (1 - 2 pieces), the amount of about 1 cm, stemmed, red color, and seeds. Propagation by stem cuttings.

Plant part used as medicine are leaves and roots.

INDICATION
Leaves used for:
- Stop vomiting due to stomach heat,
- Fetus in the womb to move on because the mother is too hot,
- Restless, hard to sleep (insomnia),
- Tongue stiff and difficult to speak,
- Rheumatism, and
- Hepatitis.

HOW TO USE
For drugs taken, trimmed from 100 to 250 g of fresh leaves in the form.
For external use, wash the fresh leaves, and then mashed until smooth. Kompreskan to a boil or abscess.
EXAMPLE OF USE in the community
Acute and chronic hepatitis
Wash leaves kelingkit fresh taiwan (two phones), then boiled with three glasses of clean water until the remaining half. Once cool, strain and drink three times a day, each half a glass.
Boils, abscesses
Wash the fresh leaves (250 g), then add a few pieces about kwe. Boiled with three glasses of water until the remaining one cup. Once cool, strain and drink water twice a day, each half a glass.
